An aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force has crashed en route the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, killing all the seven persons onboard.

This follows the breaking report earlier by Effiezy of a military aircraft crashing in Abuja, killing all passengers.

Confirming the tragic incident in a tweet, Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation, said investigation is ongoing.

“A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls,” he tweeted.
