Voting has started in earnest in 38,622 polling centres across Ghana as the country elects a President and 275 parliamentarians.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will go head to head in the Presidential and the Parliamentary contests.
However, there are 10 other aspirants contesting on the tickets of political parties and independent candidates.
The Presidential race is expected to be a very tight contest between the two main oppopnents Ghana President and incumbent Nana Akufo-Addo against predecessor, John Mahama, making it their third time of squaring up,
So far from various reports, the election has been progressing smoothly.
