Oyo Governor Makinde Pledges N100 Million To Renovate Palace Of The Soun Of Ogbomoso
Governor Makinde of Oyo state on Tuesday october 13,2020 visited the Palace of Kabiyesi, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, the Soun of Ogbomoso and pledged the sum of N100 Million to begin immediate repairs of the palace and replacement of destroyed properties.

Recall Effiezy reported, suspected hoodlums on 11th October, 2020 disrupted a meeting between the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare; the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, and some chiefs.
The hoodlums ended up destroying properties in the palace.

The Governor has however been heavily criticized for donating such a huge amount of money for the renovation of the Soun’s Palace.

In several reactions by citizens, it was wondered if the Palace was seriously damaged to warrant a N100 million naira donation.
