I Have Been Sleeping in Church, I Have No House to Lay Down My Head’- Actor, Chief Kanran Breaks Down In Tears As He Narrates Sad Story

Popular Yoruba actor, Olusegun Akinremi, popularly known as Chief Kanran, has sadly revealed that he’s currently homeless and needs help from Nigerians badly.

Speaking about his predicament to radio personality, Kola Olootu of Lagelu FM, Chief Karan said he lost his house and film equipment in a fire incident which sadly occurred seven years ago. He said: “About seven years ago, things turned out really bad for me. I am not sick but what befall me is much more than illness.”

Continuing, Kanran sadly recalled how his house was razed by fire, and his wife at that time died of breast cancer. He added that following the loss of his house, the equipment in his office also got burnt, including his four cars. He said managed to salvage only one car which he sold to feed his family.

And when he could no longer afford to pay house rent, he had to move into the church. “At the moment, for over a year and a half, I have been sleeping in the church,” he said amid tears. Kanran has therefore asked for assistance so he can move on with his life
