Tenants to start paying 6% stamp duty on rent to generate Revenue – FIRS

This would not even comes as a surprise anymore as politicians have made it a point of duty to embezzle money. Notwithstanding, the work of the Federal Inland Revenue service (FIRS) is to source for domestic alternatives on how to make money (Revenue) for Nigeria. This includes taxation, bill boards and other domestic charges.

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has directed landlords and property agents to charge 6% Stamp Duty on all tenancy and lease agreements.
