Controversies as Hushpuppi’s release from U.S prison causes uproar.

On Wednesday, rumours of Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, aka Hushpuppi’s release went viral on social media, accompanied with screenshots of the Bureau of Prisons website.

According to the details on the website, Hushpuppi was released on July 20.

However, our correspondent has ascertained that the 37-year-old was only moved to California.

Gal Pissetzky, the lawyer to alleged Internet fraudster and Instagram socialite Hushpuppi, has also revealed that his client is yet to be released.

However, Pissetzky, in a statement, confirmed that the embattled socialite was only transferred to another prison but not released as widely speculated.

The lawyer also confirmed that he is still representing Hushpuppi.

The DOJ confirmed his arrival in Chicago, but noted that “he is expected to be “transferred to Los Angeles in the coming weeks”.
