BREAKING: Hotel, Buildings Collapse in Taiwan After 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Struck (Photos)

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake has struck off the northeast shore of Taiwan, causing at least one hotel to collapse, according to the Taiwanese government.

The quake’s centre was about 20 kilometres east-northeast of Hualien, according the U.S. Geological Survey. Reports of its depth vary from one kilometre to 10 kilometres.

The hotel that collapsed is located in the coastal city of Hualien.
