Paul Pogba has stepped up his recovery from injury by training with Manchester United’s reserves, sources have told ESPN FC.
Pogba has missed United’s last 12 games after suffering a hamstring tear playing against Basel on Sept. 12.
But there are hopes the 24-year-old could return to Jose Mourinho’s squad following the international break after he took part in a session with some of the club’s young players on Wednesday.
Mourinho has given the week off to the majority of first-team players not involved with their national teams, including Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Scott McTominay.
But Pogba has remained at Carrington in a bid to return in time to feature against Newcastle at Old Trafford on Nov. 18. He was joined at training on Wednesday by Marcos Rojo and Michael Carrick.
