Video from Lekki-Ikoyi bridge show officials searching for the body of the man who sadly committed suicide today

Today, a man ended his life by jumping into the Lagos Lagoon via the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge.

LIB visited the scene and gathered that at about 11am, the man who has been identified as Oluseyi Adekunle, appeared to be on his way to work when he dropped his bag, took off his clothes and then jumped into the Lagoon.

His phone and two ATM cards were recovered from the scene of the sad incident. They called a lady on his phone who said she is his wife.

Officials of the Lagos Waterways Authority and the Police rushed to the scene in an attempt to rescue the victim, but after a search for the man’s body which took four-hours, the officials ended their operation for the day without finding it.

Although, they promise to continue their operations tomorrow.
