ASUU suspends LAUTECH strike 

The Academic Staff Union of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH Ogbomoso has suspended its industrial action.

Lecture will commence on Monday 23rd October 2017.

The decision to put the strike on hold was reached at the congress held yesterday at the Mani campus of the institution in Ogbomoso.

Details of the meeting is still sketchy as at the moment of writing this report but it was learnt that they lecturers agreed to return back to class base on assurance from the management and the governing council that their salary arrears and other issues that led to the strike will be resolved.

It would be recalled that the lecturers embarked on the industrial action in April shortly after the end of first semester examination.
