Ambode unveils first DNA forensic centre in West Africa [PHOTOS]

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, on Wednesday in Lagos Island unveils the first DNA Forensic centre in West Africa.

Ambode commissioned the State DNA and Forensic Centre alongside the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem , Acting Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Opeyemi Oke and representative of the Oba of Lagos, Chief Lateef Aderibigbe Ajose.

Also, in attendance is the Managing Consultant, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, Dr. Richard Somiari, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal and Technical Leader, DNA/Biology Forensics, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, Shelley Johnson.

Recall that Ambode on Monday handed over 120 new 5KVA generating sets to the Lagos State Police Command to power all police formations across the State.
