Sales girl appears in court for theft

A 21-year- old sales girl, Oluwatobi Blessing was arraigned on Thursday before an Osogbo Magistrates’ court by the police for alleged stealing N285, 000, belonging to her boss, Mrs Adedoja Bunni.

The police prosecutor, Adekunle Bukola, had earlier told the court that the accused and two others now at large on August 07, at Akindeka in Osogbo, conspired and stole the sum.

He said the offence contravenes and punishable under section 316 of Osun state criminal code, cap 34 vol.11, law of Osun state, Nigeria.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge slammed against her.

Counsel to the accused, Bose Dada, therefore applied for bail in the most liberal terms, assuring the court that the accused will always be available doing her trial.

In her ruling, magistrate Fatimoh Sodamade, granted the accused bail with the sum of N200,000.00 with one surety, while the case was adjourned till September 5, 2017 for hearing.
