Media mogul, Dele Momodu has said that the Nigerian Senate passed the Not Too Young to Run bill because the Nigerian youths demanded for it.
Momodu also advised citizens to always “try to engage our leaders constructively”, as only dialogue can bring results.
“The Nigerian Senate responded positively to the demands of Nigerian youths showing that we must try to engage our leaders constructively!
“I will continue to see dialogue as the best tool of democratic engagements instead of dissipating energy on tantrums and negative insults!
“We should never take things for granted; I’ve since called to congratulate the Senate President on the positive decision. Long live Nigeria,” he tweeted.
The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday passed the Not Too Young To Run bill.
The much-anticipated bill seeks age reduction for elective offices in the country.
