Lady cries in court as she admits murdering popular community figure at his home

Lyndsey McCool broke down in court before pleading guilty to murdering a man and stealing from him at his home.

Police discovered Jeremy Dickinson’s body at his home in Seacombe on March 28 this year when they were called to the property by neighbours.

After the 57-year-old died Lyndsey McCool, 37, of Whetstone Lane, Tranmere, was charged with the murder, Liverpool Echo reports.

A post-mortem examination confirmed Mr Dickinson died as a result of “blunt force trauma” to the head.

Judge Clement Goldstone, QC, said the offence carried a starting point of a life sentence with a minimum of 15 years in prison.

However, he said an aggravating feature would be the post-death thefts of Mr Dickinson’s property in Seacombe.
