Female driver, 22, charged following early morning police chase where she ‘crashed a stolen car into a garden bed and fled police on foot’

A woman has been charged following an early morning police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle in Sydney’s west.
Officers from Fairfield Traffic and Highway Patrol Command spotted a stolen Mitsubishi Lancer travelling along Nelson Street about 5.15 am on Monday.
The driver ignored their attempts to stop the vehicle, which led to a pursuit through the suburb.
As the woman, 22, attempted to turn left onto Gordon Street, she lost control before mounting the footpath colliding with a bin, two parked cars and a letterbox.
After flattening a garden fence, the car was abandoned and the driver fled on foot.
Following a short foot pursuit, the driver was caught by police.
