Kidnapped Model College pupils, teachers released


The two students, the vice principal and a teacher of Government Model College, Igbonla in Epe, Lagos, kidnapped last week were released on Tuesday night.

The four pupils, Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi, Vice Principal, Junior School, AO Oyesola and English teacher, Lukman Oyerinde, regained freedom around 10.30pm last night, according to The Nation.

Details of their release or whether they paid ransom, could not be ascertained at press time.

Mr. Oluwafemi Adebisi, an elated father of one of the victims, confirmed that his son was back home and in good health.

“I thank God for everything. My son has been released to us. He is in good health. God is wonderful,” he said.

A police source who hinted on the release of the victims, said no arrest had been made.
