Footballer sacked after testing positive to HIV (Photos)

Cameroonian born footballer, Samuel Nlend has been sacked by Egyptian Premier League side Al Ittihad after tests revealed he was HIV positive. The 21-year-old just four days after signing a three year contract with him.
A media representative of the club confirmed the news to the press. Nlend is regarded as one of Cameroon’s brightest soccer prospects. He scored in January’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament. He also finished the last Cameroonian soccer league as the top scorer with his former club, Union Douala.
