Switzerland to return $300m stolen by Abacha to Nigeria

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, yesterday disclosed that Switzerland has promised to return another $300 million looted by former leader, Sani Abacha to Nigeria.

Onyeama said this was coming just as negotiations are ongoing with a number of countries including the United States and United Kigndom on the modalities for the repatriation of some looted funds hidden abroad.

Switzerland has already repatriated $700 million to Nigeria of the Abacha looted funds.
