Amazon tells customers who bought hoverboards to throw them away, amid safety risk (Photo + Video)


Internet giant Amazon has advised people who purchased hoverboards to throw them away, over safety fears of the gadgets.

A UK Watchdog has raised concerns over non-compliant electrical components that could explode or catch fire.

Their email reads, ‘We’ve received information that your order purchased through the website is unsafe for use as this product is supplied with a non-compliant UK plug.’

They have promised customers full refund, Tesco, Argos and other retailers are also withdrawing some of their hoverboards for sale.
