Austrian teen girl who fled to join ISIS, beaten to death after trying to escape (Photos)

A teenage Austrian girl, Samra Kesinovic, 17, who fled to Syria along with her friend Sabina Selimovic, 16, to join Islamic State is reportedly dead after being brutally beaten for trying to flee the terror group.

The girls travelled to Syria in April 2014 and quickly became ISIS ‘poster girls’ in images used for recruitment.

Her friend, Sabina who went with her was killed months earlier. She was believed to have died in December during a period of heavy fighting.

Various media outlets in Austria have reported that Samra was beaten to death for attempting to escape from Raqqa.
