With the country in anticipation for the ministerial list, President Muhammadu Buhari has said he would head the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
Buhari gave the hint in one of the series of interviews, he granted one of the foreign media in his hotel, shortly before departing New York at the 70th United Nations General Assembly.
“I will serve as the Minister of Petroleum Resources myself,” Buhari told his interviewer.
Shortly after assuming office, Buhari sacked and replaced the management of the nation’s oil company – Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The nation’s petroleum sector is said to be bogged down in corruption with millions of dollars missing and continous waste of the the country’s oil.
