Janet Jackson calls off world tour prep to be with sick father
Janet Jackson has cancelled her production duties for The Unbreakable World Tour to be by her sick father’s bedside.
According to US Weekly, Janet, 49, took a private jet to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where her father has been hospitalized since he suffered a stroke on his 87th birthday on July 25.
She is expected to stay with her father until his condition is stable.
Following Joe’s stroke, he took to his website to inform fans that he is expected to make a swift recovery.
“To my family, friends, acquaintances and fans all over the world. I want to thank you all for your prayers, unwavering support and kind well wishes during these trying times,” Joe shared on Monday, July 27. “Through God’s intervention the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and caretakers at the Albert Einstein Sao Paulo hospital have taken great care of me. God willing, I should be able to make a quick recovery and travel back home soon. Thank you all once again for your prayers and support.”
