Five People Die in Multiple Accidents in Edo State

Five persons were on Saturday night reportedly killed in a multiple road accident that occurred at Okhuo, Uhumwonde Local Government Area of Edo State along the Benin-Auchi-Abuja Highway.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicles involved in the accident included a trailer, one truck, two Audi cars, one Honda and a Mercedes Benz car.

Eyewitnesses said a truck and a car had collided but that the third vehicle, a trailer apparently had a break failure and ran into two other cars coming in the opposite direction, killing five occupants.

The bodies of the victims had been taken away before journalists arrived the scene.

The state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Familoni Oluwasusi, confirmed the incident but said he was yet to be fully briefed.
