Chief Nyesom Wike Vows not to Betray Trust of Rivers People

Rivers State Governor-elect, Chief Nyesom Wike, has assured the people of the state that he would not betray their trust of as their duly elected leader, according to thisdaylive.

He was addressing the seventh Synod of the Church of Nigeria, Diocese of Niger Delta North in Port Harcourt yesterday.

He said: “I will not betray the trust of the people of Rivers State. I will serve the state and her people with the fear of God.

“Out of the present ashes of despair and hopelessness, we shall recreate a new Rivers State for the good of all that live in it”.

“We will make strategic investments to grow our economy. We will support hardworking Rivers people to own businesses. I believe that the new administration under my watch will fulfil its purpose,” he added.

Archbishop of Anglican Church, Diocese of Niger Delta North, Most Rev. Ignatius Kattey, advised the governor-elect to work towards fulfilling his campaign promises.
