The Inspector-General of Police to deal with cultism in Edo State

The new Inspector-General of Police Nigeria, Mr Solomon Arase, has dispatched a special crack team to Edo State to tackle the spate of cultism, kidnapping, robbery and other related crimes in the state.
The Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Emmanuel Ojukwu, on Wednesday in a statement said that the deployment of the team was in line with the I-G’s thrust and commitment to ensure the protection of life and property, and build a people-oriented police force. The Force public relations officer advised the public to continue to collaborate with the police and report any suspicious person to the nearest police station for prompt action.
The squad will be headed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
