Kelly Rowland helps raise $800,000 for homeless charity

Amazing! Singer Kelly Rowland helped raise almost $800,000 (£500,000) for the homeless in Australia with a special concert. The former Destiny’s Child star jetted in to Melbourne on Saturday (09May15) to perform at a fundraiser for the Magpie Nest Housing Project to provide properties for homeless families, according to nation.

The event raised $790,000 (£494,000), and Rowland tells Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper, “I was delighted to… support a program that provides housing for the people of Melbourne without homes.”
