Nigeria Military Rescue 293 Girls and Women from Boko Haram

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has confirmed that the troops of the Nigerian Army rescued 200 girls and 93 women during a raid on Sambisa Forest on Tuesday.

They are yet to ascertain whether or not the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram on April 14, 2014 were among the rescued ladies.

Meanwhile, Reuters, AP and Al-Jazeera are reporting that an Army Spokesperson has confirmed Chibok girls are not among the 293 girls and women rescued today.
