On March 9, 1997, Christopher Wallace better known by stage names “The Notorious B.I.G, Biggie or Biggie Smalls” was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. He was 24 years Old ((May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997).

He grew up in Brooklyn, New York City.

Christopher Wallace was signed by Bad Boy Records headed by Sean “Puffy” Combs, where he released his debut album Ready To Die in 1994. His sophomore double-disc album Life After Death was released 16 days after his death. His albums have sold over 17 million units in the United States alone and also two more albums have been released since his death.

Christopher was a central figure in the East Coast Rap scene, he was also famously called “Big Poppa“. He is revered as the best ever MC in the Rap game.

Christopher Wallace was married to R&B singer Faith Evans and they have Christopher Jordan Wallace. He also has a daughter  T’yanna Wallace from a previous relationship.
