Nigeria vs Argentina: Saraki, Shehu Sani react to Super Eagles’ defeat

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has congratulated the Super Eagles over their defeat to Argentina.

Nigeria bowed out of 2018 World Cup after they lost 2-1 to Argentina.

Nigeria needed a draw or victory to progress into the next round.

Saraki, in reaction to the team’s performance, wrote on his Twitter page: “A great performance by our Super Eagles. We fought a good fight. However, you win some, you lose some.

“Raise your heads up, you inspired all 180 million of us. Thank you. Soar Super Eagles.”

Meanwhile, Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central, accused FIFA of being unfair during the game.

He, however, commended Super Eagles for the great work.

“Great Eagles, we love you always. FIFA, where art thy fairness?” Sani tweeted.
