What is considered a really shocking prison murder has allegedly been caught on CCTV.
According to Metro UK, the footage is said to be from Canada’s Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre. It is said to have shown Anthony George murdering his cellmate Adam Kargus and then removing his body from their room.
He then took the corpse to the showers where it was discovered the next day in a makeshift body bag.
George, 32, had beaten Kargus to death, with reports the inmate was choked, kicked and stomped out.
This apparently all happened without the guards at the facility in London, Ontario, noticing something was wrong. Prisoners could be seen watching as the incident unfolded in 2013.
George was sentenced for the murder last Saturday and was handed a life term without the possibility for parole for at least ten years.
Kargus died from several blunt force trauma injuries to his body, including his head and neck.
George said he had been drunk at the time of the murder after drinking a liquid (made from fermented fruit) from his toilet bowl.
He had also apparently smoked a cigarette containing PCP.
